| checked or replaced? Also, what about the rubber clutch line that leads to the slave - this might be a good time for a SS line. It's possible that age and mileage have taken their toll on the master and/or slave cylinders causing the grind to happen. I'm not sure why you're having this happen only in the 1-->2 gear change but I have a feeling it may not be the tranny if you've gone through 3 and the problem is still there. Dave
